After a brief hiatus, I have returned to bless everyone with my weekly predictions of what will occur in the NFL this week. Let’s hop right into it this week.
Game of the Week and Upset Watch: Panthers (4-2) @ 49ers (6-0) [49ers -5.5]
I’m putting two in one this week as it’s my favorite pick of the entire week. The 49ers opponents in their perfect stretch have gone 11-28 and have an average total offense rating of 23rd. They just haven’t faced good competition. I think they get brought down to earth this week and get beat by the Carolina Panthers and a Kyle Allen who must be empowered with his continued starting role with Cam Newton’s health. I don’t think it’s high scoring but I think the Panthers end up pulling out the victory.
Score Prediction: 18-12 Panthers
Thursday Night Football: Redskins @ Vikings [Vikings -17]
This is a blowout waiting to occur. The Redskins organization is an absolute mess and the team isn’t good enough to overcome that. I think the Redskins try their hardest but fall very far short of the mark. Big statement win for Minnesota.
Score Prediction: 10-38 Vikings
Sunday Night Football: Packers @ Chiefs [Chiefs +4]
Why is Vegas allowing this? The Packers offense was already going to shred the terrible Chiefs defense, and now there’s no Mahomes to keep them in it. I don’t think this game ends up close, despite the line. Aaron Rodgers has a good shot here to put himself in the lead for the MVP race and I think he takes his shot.

Monday Night Football: Dolphins (0-6) @ Steelers (2-4) [Steelers -14.5]
Does anyone actually care about this game? I think the Dolphins finally have an incentive to win a game as they hold the Steelers first round pick, but that doesn’t mean they will. The Dolphins are terrible, and they’ll make the Steelers look like a respectable football team with the return of Mason Rudolph.

Los Angeles Chargers (2-5) @ Chicago Bears (3-3) [Bears -4]

New York Giants (2-5) @ Detroit Lions (2-3-1) [Lions -7]

New York Jets (1-5) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (3-4) [Jaguars -6]

Remembering this hiatus of mine, I guess it happened for a reason. I was coming off the worst week of predictions I ever had, and we need to improve this coming week. I trust these predictions, and believe in them to come back to that 60% rate.
